I try to capture the character and light of local scenes and particularly love to paint old houses and buildings.
I grew up wanting to be an artist and go to art school and painted and drew most of my young life. I was sidetracked from that endeavor when I left home at 19 and had to support myself. I vowed to revisit my passion when I retired from my career as a Communications Manager at a Pension Fund in D.C. After all but abandoning art since starting my career, I retired in 2015, and began studying watercolor painting with Barbara Jablin in St. Michaels, MD. She is a gifted artist and teacher and I continue to learn and grow under her guidance and also the guidance of my fellow classmates. I feel incredibly lucky to have landed here!
