As a found object artist I have a passion for all things cast-off, often destined for a landfill. I love the history of humble weathered objects, and truly love giving these a new life. Inspiration is often driven by the worn patina, and if man-made the quality of workmanship found only in another era. I see beauty, or potential beauty in almost anything, and love the hunt almost as much as the creative process.
My work has been shown on the West Coast where I lived for several decades, and regionally at Main Street Gallery, The Green Phoenix, Talbot County Visual Arts Center, Joie de Vivre Gallery, and River Arts. I’ve taught as an artist in residence in Columbia and continue to teach small groups in my studio. Currently I am partnering with Talbot Mentors and the Eastern Shore Land Conservancy, teaching found art to local youth.
