Mixed Media, Painting
I work with traditional media to focus on contemporary issues like the effect that urban development can have on our landscape and how the ordinary prevails. My style is formalized & post-cubist. I work in series like Tarps & Washing Lines which I began after graduation from the RCA. In Dungeness Kent, I painted the beautiful wild blue delphiniums growing along the edge of the nuclear power plant & the washing that floats in the breeze across the peninsular illustrating the presence of the breath of nature. Recent subjects are the Coastal Edge of Florida & the Puddles of Time on the Eastern Shore.
I am an English artist, graduate of the RCA London. I worked & exhibited in London most of my life until I moved to Florida in 2003 with my American husband to follow his career. We re-located north to Cambridge Md. in 2012 where I paint in my studio overlooking the beautiful Choptank River. Recent Exhibitions include Art Academy, Easton, Hill Center for the Arts, Washington DC, Maryland Hall, Annapolis, Tidewater Inn, Easton, Out of the Fire, Easton, Cottage Studio Gallery, Easton & the Biggs Museum of American Art, Dover, De.My work was featured in “TODAYS MASTERS” Fine Art Connoisseur magazine, May 2016. Also, published by Harper Collins in “Watercolour Masterclass” & “The Challenge of Landscape” as well as in several magazines.
